Director of Nursing
Tabitha Kindet, LVN, serves as the Director of Nursing for New Spirit Recovery and Elevate Wellness Center. She brings 17 years of experience in the medical field, including five years in substance use disorder treatment, with a career foundation rooted in emergency response, crisis intervention, and patient safety.
Prior to her work in treatment, Tabitha served as a Firefighter and Rescue Technician, where she developed a disciplined, calm, and decisive approach to care in high-acuity situations. She graduated as a First Honors student from her Licensed Vocational Nursing program and is IV and blood certified, bringing a comprehensive and safety-driven perspective to nursing leadership within residential and detox settings.

Professional Philosophy
Tabitha believes quality care begins with treating people with respect, compassion, and consistency. My approach focuses on delivering safe, ethical, and evidence-based nursing care while fostering a structured, supportive environment where patients can stabilize, feel heard, and begin meaningful recovery.
She is driven by the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in people’s lives during some of their most vulnerable moments. Supporting strong clinical standards, safe care, and a respectful treatment environment motivates me to lead with purpose, accountability, and consistency.
Outside of work, Kindet values spending time with my wife, dog, and family. I enjoy reading, getting outdoors, and prioritizing balance through self-care. I’m originally from New Orleans, a proud ’90s kid, and have a soft spot for classic pop, anything *NSYNC, Britney Spears, or the Backstreet Boys.
